Why?
A marathon, a party atmosphere and Rhenanian cheerfulness in the city of Cologne marathon. Attracting 10,000 runners the marathon takes place in the city centre of Cologne, the media city and carnival centre of Germany: start & finish are in the Cologne Deutz area, not far from the famous cathedral and the race crosses the Rhine twice.

A (empty) Cologne beer glass in the race packet, a lot of great beer after the race for everybody and a pure party atmosphere, with thousands of people celebrating in the streets on race day. Both walkers and skaters, as long as they complete the marathon in less than 6 hours, can join as well. Regardless of your finishing time, you can still grab the first price for the best fancy dress costume wearer. Possibly the most important award in the German carnival centre! A beautiful course combined with friendly and enthiastic support make this a fantastic event weekend.
